Football this week: X-post
The network coverage is really sucking this season and this week looks especially bad.
The only morning game being televised is the Minnesota vs Baltimore. The Vikings are probably going to steamroll over the Ravens. I hope they don't but I'm figuring on a sad blowout.
The Pack is playing the Lions and it should be a cakewalk for the Pack. Besides, I've been trying to get my Packer fan friends together for games but you guys have been sucking at coming out for them.
The NFL Redzone channel is pretty cool but I still like watching complete games.
So I'm going to join cajunsblues
at Fox Sports Grill to primarily watch the Saints/Giants game, which should be a great game, but they will have probably every other game going on the dozens of screens they have there. So I'm gonna eat drink and enjoy me some football which is the way the Gods intend for Sundays to be spent.

Monday Night Football ..... repost
The bread is in process, the stew is bubbling away in the crock pot & Favre is starting to sweat.
It's beginning to look a lot like Monday Night Football.
I'm looking good for being home by 5:00 so everything is all set. You guys can feel free to show up anytime between 5:00 & 5:30 or later.
Just buzz either Fagan (301) or Fagan-2 (I forget that number but it's on the buzzer) and come one up.

Monday Night Football : crosspost
Doesn't seem like there are any plans for everyone to gather anywhere for the Packers/Vikings game tomorrow night. So let me tell you what I'm going to do.
Since I have the widescreen, HD, blah blah blah at my place, I'm going to set my ass on my own couch and watch the game right here in comfort.
I'm going to bake up a loaf of bread and cook up some nice autumn-y pork stew and grub on that while hollering at the TV.
Any of you folks, assuming of course I have at least a vague notion of who you are, are welcome to come over here to my Capital Hill digs and cheer the Pack on with me. Just bring whatever you want to drink & if you want to eat anything other than the stew & bread, that is on you as well.
Kickoff is at 5:30. I should be home and ready by 5:00 but I can't absolutely guarantee that right now. I'll post a confirmation of time tomorrow afternoon from work.

Ok Seattle Packers "Fans"
Are we gathering for games this year or what???
I was out of town last week but by looking at pahana
's post and the lack of response to it, I'm assuming there was a small gathering at best.
I hope I'm wrong. Tell me I'm wrong.
So are we fans? Are we getting together for games, drinks & food? Are we yelling the TV and the refs with their bullshit calls?
Alright, Monday Night Football this week; It's the Pack against the Asshole Vikings with their asshole, turncoat Quarterback. They are playing in Minnesota so The Packers need a lot of people hundreds of miles away yelling at the TV to encourage them on.
Let's do this guys.
Now we can do the Goofy's thing, hit another bar since it will be playing everywhere or I'm more than willing to put out a spread & host if the crowd prefers.
The important this is that we do this or at the very least respond

I could use a game. Or maybe just hanging out at Goofy's. Next time? Anyone? There must be a few games left in the season, right?

Game vs. Titans
So the Nogas are in town to celebrate my and Jesse's birthdays tomorrow.
We'll be at Goofy's around game time.
Will you? :)

Seriously, Brett? Fuck off.
Look, we gave you the luxury of flip-flopping on retirement the past few years, and still treated you as a god. Shit happened, management got tired of this game (and quite frankly so did I), and you are now a Jet. You get to keep playing, Aaron gets his well-deserved shot, and everybody moves on. You'll retire a Packer and be remembered as one just like Montana is a 49er and not a Chief, etc, etc.
Now they're reporting that you called the Detroit Lions before our week 2 game and basically gave them our entire playbook. Since they're the Lions, we still won, but dude, that's fucked up. It makes me wonder two things:
1. How many other teams are you calling/have you called?
2. Exactly how petty are you? You're acting like a bitter psycho ex-girlfriend.
You're re-directing energy I should be spending being pissed at Ted Thompson for being too much of a cheapass to give up a 2nd round pick to make the Tony Gonzalez deal happen. The two of you can go have an "ego-off" for all I care while McCarthy sits there with a blank look on his face while he eats all the fries on the table. Current Mood: annoyed

Sunday, Sunday, SUNDAY
Tom and I will be taking our friend Grant to Goofy's this week for the game. I figure regardless of whether it's a Seahawks bar or a Packer's bar, it's a hell of a lot more comfortable (and with better food and service) than WingMasters. I know a lot of people are going to the actual game, but there is no way in hell I can afford it, so bar it is.
|Saturday, October 4th, 2008|
So. I'm determined to go to the Seahawks/Packers game next Sunday, I mean the Packers only come to town every now and then.
I'm looking for tickets for Kendra and I, however if I can get 4 instead of 2 at a decent price, is there anyone who wants to go and/or can afford like $100ish? And doesn't mind sitting in the 300 level?
I'd prefer to go with more people just cause of the assholes we encountered last time around. Current Mood: BARGAIN SHOPPER!!!!1
|Wednesday, October 1st, 2008|
Is anyone going to the actual game on the 12th, or will everyone be at Goofy's? I looked, but cannot afford a ticket (and I thought baseball was expensive!), so I'm debating going to the Goofy's and rooting against
Seattle for a change....
